Emerson Field Underground Project
The Concord Light Department has completed plans and has begun construction on Emerson Field Underground Project. Phase One of this Project will entail the installation of conduit and underground facilities. Phase Two will include the installation of conduits from the street to each building. Phase Three will consist of converting the overhead system to the new underground facilities.
The following areas are scheduled for construction:
1. Thoreau Street from Sudbury Road to Walden Street
2. Hubbard Street, Laurel Street, and Thoreau Court
3. Walden Terrace, Union Street, Willow Street and Fielding Street
4. Devens Street, Academy Lane, and 400' of Sudbury Road
5. Middle Street and Belknap Street.

Phase One construction is scheduled, barring any unforeseen delays, to be completed before November.
