DropOff SwapOff Final Results October 18, 2008
October 18th DropOff Collection Results:

A big thanks to all the volunteers and others who helped out with the October 18, 2008 DropOff – SwapOff! This was our largest fall event to date, with a total of 918 vehicles at DropOff. Below is a summary of the items collected at DropOff:

13 bags of sneakers for Good Will
24 1/2 bags of sneakers for Nike
57 Mattresses
Five 30 yd roll-offs of scrap metal
1 30 yd roll-off of upholstered furniture
2/3’s roll-off of carpet
Nine 30 yd roll-offs of over size waste
265 bags of Styrofoam
3,000 lbs of books
2 truck loads of household goods
105 bikes
1/3 truckload of reusable building materials
2 containers of rags
3 bags of towels
¾ truck load of children’s items
¾ tractor trailer truck load of electronics
Numerous boxes of paper were shredded during the course of the event
252 lbs of VHS tapes
66 lbs of CD’s& diskettes
131 lbs of cassettes
9 refrigerators
56 dehumidifiers
84 air conditioners
26 microwaves
48 propane tanks
44 bags of plastic bags
124 inkjet & printer cartridges
1 box of crayons
16 lbs of cell phones
1 five gal bucket of lead acid batteries
4 five gal buckets of compact fluorescent bulbs
1 five gal bucket of mercury thermostats & thermometers
1 box of circuline & small strip fluorescent bulbs
1/3 bucket of assorted lithium batteries
3 containers of four foot fluorescent bulbs
Two boxes of eight foot fluorescent bulbs
1 five gal bucket of ballasts
6 boxes of small tube fluorescent bulbs
1 bucket of rechargeable batteries
5 smoke detectors
1 box of tennis balls
