Thank you for your interest in the Concord Public Works Clothes Washer Rebate Program. A limited number of $100 rebates are available to Concord residents who install a high-efficiency clothes washer. Rebate funds come from a grant from the Massachusetts Environmental Protection and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Clothes washers are the second largest water-consumer in your home (toilets are #1) and account for more than 20 % of indoor water use. By choosing a high-efficiency model, you will save energy, water, and money on your utility bills.
To qualify for the program, you must be a residential Concord Water account holder, and you must be installing a high-efficiency clothes washer that appears on the Consortium of Energy Efficiency (CEE) qualifying list at Tier 2 or Tier 3. The list can be found at the link below. Rebate is good for washers purchased on or after March 1, 2008. Since these appliances are highly efficient, you automatically qualify for a $50 rebate from the Concord Municipal Light Plant. Your washing machine rebate application will be forwarded to the Light Plant.
To apply for the rebate, please complete a Rebate Application and mail it along with a sales receipt showing make and model number to: Clothes Washer Rebate Program, 135 Keyes Road, Concord, MA 01742. Once approved, your $100 rebate will appear as a credit on your water bill.
Grant funds are limited and rebates are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once grant funds are exhausted, the rebate will be discontinued.
