Water Quality

Concord Public Works Lead & Copper Program

In response to recent press coverage of lead in Boston area drinking water, Concord Public Works wants to let you know what we are doing to monitor lead in your drinking water.  Lead is typically not found naturally in water supplies and is not present in ours.  Lead identified in drinking water systems is generally attributed to leaching of plumbing fixtures and pipes made of lead or containing traces of lead.  Concord Public Works treats its water supply to make it less corrosive, therefore less likely to cause leaching. PleaseClick Here for More Details
