The Natural Resources Commission is a five-member board appointed by the Town Manager, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, for three-year, staggered terms. The NRC is responsible for the overall stewardship of the natural resources of the Town, and the establishment of Town environmental policy in conjunction with the Board of Selectmen and Town Meeting. The Natural Resources Commission acts as Conservation Commission in all matters delegated by Massachusetts General Law or Town bylaw.

The NRC generally meets the first and third Wednesday of each month. Please contact the Division of Natural Resources to confirm meeting dates and locations.

Place: 141 Keyes Road, first floor meeting room (unless otherwise posted)
Time: 7:00 PM

CONCORD WETLANDS BYLAW
Town Meeting approved a local Wetlands Bylaw in April 2009. The Bylaw recently came into effect with the approval from the Attorney General. The NRC is developing Wetlands Regulations now to bring to Town Meeting for approval in 2010. Join us in Thursday December 10, 7:30pm at the Town House to learn more and ask questions at the Public Hearing for the Regulations. Click here for a draft of the Wetlands Regulations. Click here for other wetlands permitting information.

NRC SUBCOMMITTEES
The Natural Resources Commission established seven subcommittees that protect and enhance Concord's natural resources. Click on the links below to learn more about each of these subcommittees and the important work they do. For more information, please contact the subcommittee chair or the Division of Natural Resources.
