The Concord Police Department has been a charter member of the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) since the early 1980's. Department resources have been committed to assist other member agencies in an effort to increase and improve their capabilities to provide protection of life and property thereby preserving the safety and welfare of the region.
Today the Concord Police Department has seven members of the department involved in Regional Response Team (RRT), Special Weapons and Tactical (SWAT) Unit, MotorCycle Response Unit and School Threat Assessment and Response System (STARS) Unit. Concord also has one communications dispatcher who is a part of NEMLEC newly formed Tactical Communications Unit.
