Commercial Recycling
Did you know, almost 90% of the waste generated by the average business is recyclable?

Concord Public Works, in cooperation with the Concord Chamber of Commerce and the Concord Business Partnership, provides Concord businesses with a number of recycling and disposal opportunities for recyclable and difficult to manage wastes. For more information on any of these programs contact Concord Public Works at 978-318-3240 or cpw.info@concordma.gov

One Day Collection Event

Electronics (computers, TVs, etc.)
Fluorescent Bulbs and Ballasts
Rechargeable and Specialty Batteries
Mercury Devices

Computer monitors and TVs are banned from landfills and incinerators in Massachusetts because they contain substantial amounts of lead. Haulers will not knowingly accept these items in dumpsters along with regular waste. Fluorescent lamps contain mercury and are considered a universal hazardous waste. It is illegal for any business to dispose of fluorescent bulbs, or any item containing mercury, with regular commercial waste.
