CCTV deserves congratulations for another successful year of improving and diversifying local access cable television for Concord, covering more meetings, sporting events, and matters of community interest than any prior year. CCTV is a non-profit organization that receives support from cable television subscribers, through the Town, to help underwrite its coverage of PEG (Public, Educational and Governmental) television programming.
The Town transferred its web-page hosting to a private entity, Virtual Town Hall, in an effort to make information provided by the internet more timely and consistent. Common Cause, a non-profit group that promotes transparency and accountability in government, recognized the Town’s website as providing key information about committee meetings, public hearings and opportunities for the public to get involved in local decision-making.
