Public Safety Communications
Concord Public Safety Communications is responsible for all initial emergency and non-emergency contact between the general public and Concord public safety agencies providing Police, Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services. It also provides citizens with after-hours emergency contact to other Town Departments including Public Works, Engineering, Schools and Animal Control.

The Communications Unit provides a combination of 24-hour services to help protect the safety and security of lives and property town-wide. These include Enhanced-911, Emergency Medical Dispatch (Dispatch Life Support), manning Police and Fire alarm phone lines and maintaining Burglar and Fire alarm panels directly connecting the Communications Center to homes and businesses throughout the community.

Concord Public Safety Communications also collaborates with other local and regional emergency response resources in order to ensure the best quality and capability of emergency services for the entire community. Local examples include the Concord Neighborhood Network, Emerson Hospital, MedFlight and agencies of surrounding communities. Regional examples include the North Eastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC), Fire District 14 Mutual Aid and the District 6 HazMat Team.
