BOARD OF ASSESSORS TO HOLD PUBLIC FORUM
The Board of Assessors invites all citizens to a Public Forum Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 7:00 P.M. in the Hearing Room at the Town House. They will present information about the changes to expect as a result of the FY08 revaluation. Every 3 years the Town must undergo the revaluation process where the Department of Revenue examines office processes and valuation methodologies in depth before it certifies the new property values. For FY08 the calendar year 2006 sales are analyzed in order to adjust the factors that calculate the property values. The goal is to have property values at or near 100% of
market value as of January 1, 2007.
