CONCORD FIRE DEPARTMENT TO HOLD OPEN HOUSE
PIN BADGES ON FOUR FIREFIGHTERS
On Saturday, June 7, the Concord Fire Department will hold an Open House at Fire Headquarters, 209 Walden Street, Concord,MA, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. The Department’s newest apparatus, a 2008 custom fire engine and a 2008 four wheel drive ambulance will be on display for the public to tour and see the investment in public safety made by Concord residents up close. Also available for inspection will be a Multi Terrain Response Unit, consisting of a 2008 All Terrain Vehicle, transport trailer, and emergency medical transport package, donated to the Town by Middlesex School.
Along with Department apparatus, fire fighters will be on hand to demonstrate safety equipment. Members of Concord’s Citizens Emergency Response Team,(CERT), including the Concord Amateur Radio Emergency Team,(CARET), will demonstrate their equipment and how they support the Town during emergency situations.
At 11:00 AM, Firefighters Charles Baker, David Nichols, William Rolfe and Michael Pimentel will have their department badges pinned on their Class A Uniforms in a brief ceremony. The badge pinning signifies completion of their one year probationary period
and achieving status as a permanent career firefighter for the Town of Concord.
The public is invited to attend the Open House and witness the Badge Pinning Ceremony. For further information, please contact Fire Chief Kenneth Willette, 978-318-3450, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
