Shared Streets and Spaces: Main and Walden Project

In 2022 Concord was awarded a Shared Streets and Spaces Grant through MassDOT to make speed management and safety improvements to the intersection of Main and Walden Streets in Concord Center. After speaking with several committees, planners, designers, and engineers, the following designs were created to help provide safe and visible crossing opportunities, slow vehicles down, and provide a more pleasant downtown experience.
