Marriages are recorded in the Town or town where the couple applies for the marriage license. If you applied for a marriage license in Concord, you can obtain certified marriage certificates here after the wedding takes place.


The cost for a certified marriage certificate is $15 for each copy.

Be sure to include your check or money order payable to the Town of Concord, a self-addressed, stamped envelope, the names of both parties (prior to marriage), and the date of the wedding.

Online Request & Payment

Marriage Certificates can now be requested and paid for online from your checking account or with a debit or credit card (Visa, Master Card or Discover Card). You will receive your documents via mail (rush delivery available for an extra fee). This secure service is made possible through an agreement with Unibank. A nominal fee will apply to credit card transactions, while there is no charge to pay directly from your checking account. Go to the online payment screen.

Timing: More than 3 days and less than 60 days before your intended date of marriage taking place anywhere in Massachusetts.
How to file:  Call the Town Clerk's Office at 978-318-3080 to make an appointment (limited availability during elections).   Your Marriage License may be picked up on the third calendar day after filing or we will mail it to you.
What to bring:  Your photo ID and $50, payable by cash or check.
