A GENEALOGIST LOOKS BACK AT IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION
Thursday, October 17, 2019
In the 35 years before Ellis Island was used, Castle Garden, now known as Castle Clinton, was the center for US immigration. Located in the battery of Lower Manhattan, just across the bay from Ellis Island, Castle Garden was the nation's first immigrant processing facility. Join genealogist Seema Kenney for a unique perspective on what the process to move to, live in, and become a citizen of our nation was really like. Seema will present an overview and will have time to take your questions. Please call the COA beginning Tuesday, October 1st to reserve your seat! 978 318 3020.
