Please be advised, Concord Center is experiencing a significant power outage in the Walden Street area.
At approximately 10 a.m., Concord Fire was called to the area of Walden Street for a report of an odor of smoke. Firefighters determined the cause of the odor was a malfunctioning motor, and they also noticed a significant power outage in the area affecting parts of Walden Street from Main Street to Hubbard Street.
The Concord Municipal Light Plant is addressing the power outage, and crews are on scene downtown. Concord Fire remains in the area as a precaution. There is no danger to the general public.
Motorists are advised to use caution in the area, as parts of Walden Street remain closed.
