Water Restriction in Effect
Reduce lawn watering to 1 day per week immediately, in accordance with Town of Concord’s Seasonal Water Demand Management Plan: Level 1 – Lawn Watering Restriction schedule.
A combination of extreme temperatures, an emergency fire response on Tuesday evening and seasonal start-up issues impacting the availability of Nagog Pond supply have resulted in an urgent need for our customers to reduce outdoor water use, effective immediately. If a notable reduction in lawn watering is not realized within the next 24 to 48 hours, the Concord Public Works Commission will have no choice but to issue a mandatory Lawn Watering Ban to ensure water is available for essential uses, like drinking and fire protection.
Concord Public Works staff continue to work diligently to educate those who are watering their lawns outside of their designated watering day. Customers who continue to water their lawn outside of their designated watering day will be assessed a $50/$100 fine.
Visit www.concordma.gov/conservation for more information and www.concordma.gov/wateringday to find your watering day.
