BUILDING PERMITS UPDATE
As of May 18, 2020 Governor Baker’s Phase 1 plan to reopen Massachusetts businesses allows for all construction projects to resume operations under Public Health guidelines specific to the construction industry. All permit applications and building permit sign off-sheets will still be accepted via a Drop Box located outside the main entrance to the Department of Planning and Land Management building at 141 Keyes Road. Please note that large roll plans are not able to be accepted at this time; plans should be submitted via a flash drive or USB drive (please place the drive in an envelope with the project name and address clearly noted). Application materials smaller than 10MB may be emailed to Buildinginspections@concordma.gov. At this time Inspections will be done on a limited basis. Please call 978-318-3280 to schedule an Inspection. If possible Inspections will be done within two business days after your request for Inspection.

As a reminder, the new ninth edition code is based on modified versions of the following 2015 codes as published by the International Code Council (ICC).

- International Mechanical Code (IMC);
- International Energy Conservation Code (IECC);
- International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC); and
- Portions of the International Fire Code (IFC).
